It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Filming Update June 28, 2011

Alright so I saw so many things happen today that I really cannot say exactly what I saw because I would give too much away.

The gang and the crew were all down in Ocean City, New Jersey all day. I managed to get to the set around 2pm and watched them film the majority of the scenes down the shore... some were funny, some were cute, some I do not even think I want to mention, ...trust me you will see what I mean when you see the episode.

The first scene I saw them filming was on the Double shot ride at Castaway Cove on the Boardwalk. Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Dennis (Glenn Howerton) are riding the ride when Dee has a problem with her hair and gets one of her 'ghetto braids' stuck in the ride. She begins to scream to the attendant to stop the ride and starts to freak out about it. This was really funny to watch and I give them props for being able to act while on this ride...not an easy thing to do in my opinion.

The second scene I watched them filming I do not want to talk about because I will end up spoiling it. After the episode airs, I will post a video of Radioman describing what is going on in the scene...it is just too good to ruin. Radioman by the way is a homeless man used in many films shot in and around New York City, look him up...very nice man. But I will give you one spoiler...The gang find something under the boardwalk that they do not expect...just wait til this one is on TV!

The final scene of the day involved Charlie and someone else, again...I do not want to say because it is a huge spoiler for the show and I have no intention of ruining this! I posted in the video below a lot of Charlie and keep in mind that he is not alone in this scene. Again, after the episode airs, I will post further behind the scenes footage so you can all see the real behind the scenes. This is probably going to be one of the nicest scenes in the show! Or at least I hope.

Anyway, got to talk a little bit to Danny Devito today and took a picture of him taking a picture of Trollfoot which was really cool...as cool as you can imagine a photo of Devito's foot would be! He was a little dissapointed that Ocean City is a dry town...no bars!

So by the end of the day...pretty much the entire crew knew me and everyone was really nice! They did not seem to mind me being around at all and always made me feel welcome to be there. I made a lot of friends with the crew and they are all amazing! So that is the main reason that I do not want to reveal a lot of the story line to you guys too much. Like I said, I will post things after the episode airs so check back!

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Filming Update June 27, 2011

So I have decided to not reveal too much of the story line and just show you a few videos because I want to preserve some of the mystery and just show you all sneak peaks and teasers of the new season. Sorry if this set report is a bit under par as I am a bit tired and there was a lot that happened.

So on Monday, the gang continued to film the same episode they were filming on the first day. The gang are all trying to get somewhere in town, but there is traffic all over the city so they need to improvise to get to where they need to go. The first scene I watched them filming, they were walking down the street and then Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Charlie (Charlie Day)run away from Mac (Rob McElhenney). I got to the set a while after they began, but I managed to get some footage of them doing this. This scene was shot at 10th and Locust on the Jefferson Hospital property. The second thing that they were filming involved Charlie, Dee, Mac, and they were joined by Frank (Danny Devito). This scene was really funny to watch as the gang were all trying to get onto the trolley to get to somewhere and board a moving trolley and leave poor Frank in the dust. This scene was shot in Upper Darby right by the 69th Street bus terminal. It was a great day and once again, I got to talk a little to the stars which is always cool. So below are a couple of the pictures I took. Like I said, I am trying to stay clear from the plot and just describe to you all what they actually shot.

Just be warned that many of the videos I have do indeed have spoilers, so if you are like me and enjoy spoilers go ahead and watch and if you don't want the show to be ruined...then do not read my blog ;)

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Day 2 Set Report June 24, 2011

I was once again on the set of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Although Danny
Devito was the only member of the gang filming today, both Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney stopped by the set.

It was really nice going to the sets today because nothing was in Center City and a bit difficult for the average gawker to find. So I was pretty much the only person watching who was not actually working on the set.

Today I found out a lot about the storyline of future episodes, but sadly I am not sharing all of the juicy details with you guys because I want keep a little bit of mystery to the new season... And plus the writers told me they would kill me if I did...No I made that last bit up. But still, I spoke to some of the writers and I do not think it is neither my right or place to tell you all what is happening in the episodes.

So anyway... I got to the set around 10:30 and found Frank (Devito) on a boat on the Schuykill filled with tourists. From there they take a ride down the river and Frank gives what he thinks is an appropriate tour. The things I heard he said on the tour are going to be hysterical to watch! After his ride with the tourists, he jumps off and finds himself surrounded by police officers.

The second scene that was filmed today involved Frank stealing skis from a store. A bunch of other people were stealing things as well. Now I am not going to explain why he is stealing skis because if I say too much it will give away the entire plot of the episode... But I will I give you all a hint... This segment does not take place in Philadelphia. But just seeing Frank steal skis is great!

I had to leave the set after this was done and go to work... But I managed to get some more great footage for you all to enjoy! I also got to meet Rob McElhenney and I told him what I do... He seemed cool with it. So out of respect to the cast and crew I am trying to stay clear from giving too much away.

One other fun fact I learned is that Rob McElhenney has actually lost about 10 of the pounds he packed on for the new season. It was really difficult for Rob to stay fat! He had to eat constantly.

The video of the day from filming:

There is no filming over the weekend... But filming resumes on Monday. Until next time!!

I do all of this for you guys for free...but if you are feeling nice you can donate and I can continue doing what I love for you all!

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Set Report June 23, 2011

Today I got to the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia set around 12:30 and they were already filming. Today, they were filming down Sansom Street on Jewelers Row. They filmed a lot inside of the car and were sitting in fake traffic. Glenn Howerton, who plays Dennis on the show was driving the range rover. Danny Devito (Frank), Rob Mcelhenney (Mac), Charlie Day (Charlie), and Kaitlin Olson (Dee) were all passengers in the car. McElhenney also gained 50 pounds for this season and it really showed! The first scene I saw them filming was with the gang ran out of the car and ran down the street leaving Dennis in the car. Dennis then gets into a car accident with an attractive girl and ends up driving away with her. Mac the runs to the car and sits in the backseat while wearing a motorcycle helmet. He was really sticking out his stomach a lot...I guess he is really trying to be a funny fat guy!
The second scene that they filmed involved a fake street fair in which Charlie and Dennis have a sketch artist draw a sketch of someone that they are looking for. From there they wrapped for the day. I managed to get a picture with Charlie and got a lot of great video footage from the set. If I find out where they are filming tomorrow, I will let you all know. That's all for now!

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Filming

Alright...guess how much I found out about Sunny filming? Almost nothing!! I have been trying extremely hard and it is very difficult to find information on filming.

I did find out that they start filming tomorrow, June 23 and are filming through June 29. According to the casting site, Heery Casting, they are looking for asian people to potray tourists on a boat, two people to potray homeless people, and people that would be willing to film at a shore location.

Please if anyone finds out anything by tomorrow let me know because I really want to get to the set for you guys! I hope to find out something!!

Wizard World Philadelphia Day 3 Report June 19, 2011

Hello and welcome to the final day of reports about this year's Philadelphia Wizard World!

So I got to the covention around 12:30pm on Sunday and I was extremely tired from the crazy weekend, but I was excited for another day of the convention. Today I was dressed like Tim Burton's Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I was able to find my friend who was dressed up like Batman again, although on Sunday he was a giant Solomon Grundy. My other friend was once again dressed up like Stay Puft since the costume was such a huge success!

Besides for buying a few items from the various stands, I tried to get around to the celebrity tables and talk a little with some of the other stars of the convention (the real stars are the cosplayers in my opinion).

First, I approached Jake Llyod since his booth was empty as I was walking by. Instead of mentioning Star Wars, I decided to express with him my love for Jingle All The Way... because nothing is better than Arnold dressing like a superhero and Sinbad being an evil postman villan. He seemed to get a kick out of the fact that I mentioned this film rather than Star Wars. He told me that yes, he still has Turboman...awesome! He also said that he is taking a break from studying film editing from Columbia, I am assuming that he is just enjoying talking to fans at conventions. In any case, he was really friendly and seemed like a really nice guy. The girl that was at the booth with him even told me that she liked my Alice in Wonderland costume, so that made me happy!

Next I went over to Brian O'Holloran from Clerks. I noticed that he was never listed on the guest list for Wizard World so I told him 'You are not even supposed to be here today!' If you are aware of the Clerks film, you might know that Dante's (O'Halloran) main line in the film is 'I'm not even supposed to be here today.' I thought it was really ironic and comical that they booked him at the last minute. I managed to get him saying the line for my video. O'Halloran was also a really nice guy he was telling me about a few of his upcoming appearances because I told him my friend was a huge fan and unable to attend this convention.

Next, I managed to get a quick picture with Nicholas Brendon from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I did not talk to him very long, but I did ask him if he would ever make his twin brother, Kelly fill in for him at a convention to which he replied that he would never because he loves the people at the conventions so much. Little did I actually know that his twin brother was actually with him. I did not attend the panel so I actually had no idea that he was also there.

Some other fun little things I noticed were the cool face painting that was going on for the kids.. If I remember correctly, Superman was doing the face painting which was really cute. I stopped by the artist alley and tried to check out the artwork of each artist and they were all amazing. I especially like how the artists have their own interpretations of popular comic book characters and they all make them their own.

I stopped by Adam Baldwin's panel for a little bit as well and found him trying to play six degrees of Kevin Bacon which was entertaining.

By the end of the day, people were starting to loose it and began putting swapable heads on Stay Puft. It was comical and a sign that people were getting a little silly at the convention!

I ended up leaving the convention a little before 4:30 mainly because I was so tired of the weekend's events. It was a long, but extremely fun weekend. The worst part was saying bye to all of my friends at the convention. I can't wait for Wizard World 2012! June 1, 2, & 3, 2012!!

As promised...here is the video from the convention:

Wizard World Philadelphia Day 2 Report June 18, 2011

Wizard World Day 2!

Alright so get ready for a lot of fun stuff from day 2... it was crazy busy! I got to the event around 1:30. I would have arrived earlier, but my friend was supposed to come with me, but kind of bailed on me due to a migrane (boo!) So I was alone on day 2, but I managed to find a lot of my friends. I stuck with my friend dressed as Stay Puft all day and hung out a lot with the Philly Ghostbusters. Highlights from day 2 had to be Zombie Gumby (you can see him in the video), Stay Puft dancing (also in the video), the Wolverine photo bomb, and getting to see a lot of my friends. Oh and Bruce Campbell wearing a white suit and bow-tie...yea.On Day 2, I had 2 costumes, my first costume of the day was Claire Bennet from Heroes, you know, Save the Cheerleader, Save the World! I heard that a lot!

So again we basically walked around and just talked to people. I was excited to see how many people dressed as Doctor Who characters because last year there were only about 5 of us...so excited more people are dressing like the Doctor! The best part was actually trying to get around the convention because when your friend is dressed as Stay Puft, you can move about 1 foot and stop another foot and stop...mainly because of people taking pictures. My friend actually won the costume contest and people were chanting 'Stay Puft Stay Puft' right before they announced best in show. I told him that there was no contest because he had to win the contest...his costume was epic...and if you are wondering, it took about 22 roles of white duct tape alone! He was also really excited when Sean Patrick Flannery stopped his 3 hour waiting line to run out and get a picture with the Stay Puft man (also in the video). He also got a great picture with the two kids from Walking Dead.

Around 3:30/4:00 I changed my costume to a Glee Cheerio, but people were still calling me Claire, so I changed back to Claire...ughh! Its ok, but I did not care which I wore, just giving the people what they wanted! I walked downstairs and they were doing some really cool photoshoots so I jumped in on a couple of the female cosplayers pictures and heroes vs villans pictures...so that was fun. My post today is going to mainly consist of pictures. So enjoy the pictures and see you all later!

Stick around Day 3 comes out tomorrow!!
