Robert Deniro Filming The Silver Linings Playbook Set Report #4 October 20, 2011

Ok so today was a fun day on set. I arrived around 8pm and they were still setting up, so I went down the street to get some stake out food. When I got back to set, thats when I got all of the good stuff! It was actually a night shoot, which I like more than day shoots because it is so much easier to hide. So the crew made sure to clear off all of the streets at least two blocks away from where they were filming to prevent anyone from seeing the set and the actors, but they forgot one thing, me! I managed to stay inside my nice warm car and get some great footage of Robert Deniro filming in his lovely Pajama set. I think they though I was an extra in the car because they had an extra's car next to me in motion every time they yelled action. Hey, maybe my car will end up in the film...you never know.

In the scene, Deniro is seen chasing some guy and yelling at him to 'get out' as a bunch of neighbors (extras) come outside to see whats going on. I really hope you all enjoy the footage I got for you. I am sorry for the short set report tonight, I need to get some sleep if I want to make a short trip to the set sometime tomorrow. Good Night and thanks for reading and watching!

My CBS3 Trip...AGAIN!

Ok, deja vu! I was able to visit the set of CBS3...again today after I heard that both David Boreanaz and Carla Gugino would be in the studio. About four years ago the two were in town filming 'The Mighty Macs', a story about the 1972 girls basketball team at Immaculata. After four years of waiting, the movie is finally coming to theaters this Friday and the pair were in town promoting the film. Since there was only one guest on the friday show, my friend allowed me to come back and meet the two...I mean they did film a movie in Philadelphia, and I am PhillyFilmGirl. But the crew at CBS3 was happy to see me again and didn't mind that I had just visited the set on Friday. I promised that I would not be back again...this week.

I first went up to Carla Gugino and told her that I loved her in Race to Witch Mountain (it was a good film!)...she was like 'Nice'... I could not really tell if it was sarcasm, but she was really nice none the less and even prettier in person!
Then I went up to David Boreanaz and told him that my father sold him his first car. He asked me if it was the Mazda, and I told him that it was a Yugo...he told me that he never really considered that a car, more of a tin can because of all the times he rolled the car. Yea, I mean its a Yugo, not exactly a Bentley or a Rolls Royce! He was also better looking in person and also a very nice guy! Well after that, my friend and I decided to leave, I really do not want to become the only stalker of Talk Philly. Even though Pat Ciarrocchi said it was okay for me to hang around because I am pretty (Thanks Pat!)

I am trying to get back to the set of the Silver Linings Playbook by the way. I contacted one of the girls I know that live in the neighborhood and she told me that they were indeed filming today, but all inside scenes again. I think that they will be doing at least one night shoot this week as I believe there are a couple night scenes in the film (don't quote me on this). So, I hope to get to the set on Wednesday, if not then Thursday for sure. Until then, Bye!!

Silver Linings Playbook Set Visit #3 Deniro and Cooper in Upper Darby October 14

So after my trip to the CBS3 studio, I went by the set of The Silver Linings Playbook. Both Robert Deniro and Bradley Cooper were on set today. They were shooting mainly inside, but they eventually went outside for one shot. My friend was an extra today, so I managed to get into his car while they were filming inside, but had to leave when they filmed outside. While inside his car, we played with balloons and listened to some fun music....good times.

When it was time to film outside, they pushed onlookers back to the next block. I managed to get some video, but the problem is that it is very jumpy footage because I was two blocks away. In the footage, Bradley Cooper is wearing his trash bag again, and Deniro tells him to take off the trash bag and get into the car....thats about the extent of the scene.

So thats really all I got from the set today, not too much, but I figured I would share with you guys! They are going to be filming in the Upper Darby location until the end of next week, but I hear they will be shooting a couple of nights and possibly be doing some outside work. Hopefully, I will be able to go to a night shoot and get closer...we will have to wait until next week to find out.

My CBS3 Trip

So thanks to one of my great Twitter followers (@fumordotnet)...I got an exclusive look behind the scenes of CBS3. It was really interesting and I am really glad he invited me to check out the studio. I was invited to visit the station and sit in on the noon show, Talk Philly with Ukee Washington and Pat Ciarrocchi. It was really interesting seeing all of the station and meeting all of the people working there. I got to visit the control room where I was told that much of the things done in the studio now is all computers. Although it might seem like they need a lot of people in the room during broadcasts, there are only two other people besides the two anchors in the room. All of the cameras are actually operated by computers and move around by themselves. It seems as though there are always people inside the building as many of the reporters and workers get there between 3am and 4am and newscasters are there until midnight. I got to take some fun pictures and really witness the news. I can't wait to go back in the future and actually get some video for you guys...this was just a short visit, but it was fun none the less.

Silver Linings Playbook Set Report #2 - FAT BRADLEY COOPER! October 12

Good morning/afternoon everyone! I was able to go to set for a little while today, but I did not stay too long because they are mostly shooting interiors today. I did manage to get a little bit of footage from the one exterior shot they were doing, but I had to stand almost a block away since what they are doing today is apparently hush hush. From what I could gather there were two 'Bradleys' on set today, so they must be doing some kind of stunt. The real Bradley Cooper was wearing a fat suit, and the fake 'Bradley' was not. It was a bit confusing to spot the real Bradley, but since he was wearing the fat suit, it made it a bit easier. Some people on the set said something about a naked scene being filmed today, and the second 'Bradley' was a body double, but that could just be heresay, I do not know if I actually believe that.

Robert Deniro was also not on set today, but should be around tomorrow at some point. Chris Tucker has also dropped out of the movie last minute, something about his contract, I do not know, but sadly, he will not be in it (I really wanted to yell 'Corbin my man' to him, props if you actually know what movie thats from). If I can get to the set again, I will try...it just gets annoying with all of the security. There were only about 6 or 7 people watching and they kept on pushing us back...but thankfully, I have a great digital zoom on my video camera. So without any more further ado..I present to you, Bradley Cooper in a fat suit!

CBS3 Reports About The Silver Linings Playbook!!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let you all know that I was contacted earlier today by Erika Von Tiehl, co-anchor of CBS3 Eyewitness News. She told me that they were planning on running a story about the filming of the new film, The Silver Linings Playbook and she really wanted to use my clip of Bradley Cooper running in a trash bag. Of course I told her that it would be great! So I got a mention on the CBS3 story!! After four years of going to film sets and taking pictures and videos of the filming of various local filming projects, I finally got a mention on one of the big network news stations...and they even used my video!

So in case you missed it..

I just really wanted to thank the news station for the huge mention and hopefully there will be more to come!

Filming in Upper Darby continues tommorrow and I plan on visiting the set at least for an hour or two in the morning. Hopefully I will get some more Bradley Cooper footage (this time with my HD camera) and I will be able to share it with you all! My next day off from work is on friday and I have something special planned for the day...can't wait to blog about that! I also plan on hitting up the set at some point on friday as well. Ok all, got to go to bed and get ready for an early 9am start...yea thats early for me!

Silver Linings Playbook Filming Upper Darby Day 1 - October 7, 2011

So I decided to go to the set today for the new Bradley Cooper film, The Silver Linings Playbook and sadly I did not get to see too much. I also did not bring any of my good camera equipment because I was not actually planning on going to the set because I did not think they were really filming today. Lucky for me, they were filming today and I did manage to get some pictures of Bradley Cooper.

THE VIDEO

The scene today involved Bradley Cooper wearing a handsome trashbag and sweat suit out while running (HAWT!) Today was also the first day of filming and I arrived on set around 3pm (there was a 7am call time). I was actually at the third location of the day, the 200 block of Madison in Upper Darby, PA. According to the signs, they are filming in this location from now until October 22. After that, I think they will be moving on to film somethings in Norristown.
Sadly, Bradley was all covered up in his trash bag, so the pictures of him are not that attractive. They basically had the entire street cleared off and there was very little way for me to get any good footage or pictures. Luckily, there was not a huge crowd and it mainly consisted of neighbors and locals to the area. So hopefully I will be able to get to the set some more during the filming. I am making my annual Fantasy Fest trip on the 25th of the month, so I might miss out on a little bit of the action, but I will be sure to share some of my Key West trip with you guys! Until next time!
